Today wrapped up my stay in Cary, North Carolina where I'd been over the last several days watching our son's beagle while he and the family took a little mini-vacation to Washington DC.
Taime, who is named after Taime Downe, lead singer for Faster Pussycat and a friend of Derek, is somewhere in the vicinity of 18 years old. Because of her advanced years they worry about leaving her, and who they leave her with. So, whenever possible I drive over and do the dog sitting. My thought process is that some day I'm going to require some TLC and it's then I'll call in all the favors. Pretty ingenious if it works, right?????
Before leaving for Kill Devil Hills I'd get a few caches around Derek's, swing back to let the dog out one last time and then try to get a few in the vicinity of my stops on the drive home.
