My plan was to place new batteries in the Garmin and see if I actually remembered how to use it, but Mother Nature put all that on hold. I did get the new batteries installed and gave myself a basic course in GPSing 101.
Now all I have to hope for is that the batteries are still good when this cold spell is over.

Feeling a bit anxious up here in the northern tundra (and NO ONE out caching) - I hid a cache I had been planning for months!
