It seems like I haven't cached in decades, so it actually took some OJT to actually figure it all out again. Several days ago this cache popped up in my email and it's remained undiscovered since. Finally it began to gnaw on me. Why hadn't anyone found it? Or, if it had been found, why hadn't it been logged? Was it there? Was it that difficult, even though it wasn't shown that way?
Anyway, it was only 1.8 miles from the house so today I downloded the coordinates into the Garmin and headed out. It was kind of like riding a bike; it all came back to me as soon as I jumped on board and started to petal.
Kill Devil Hills, On the Outer Banks of North Carolina
My wife, Malinda, our chocolate lab, Libby, the hairball we call "Henry" and myself live in Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina. Our days are spent walking the beach, vacuuming up pet hair and fishing.
That's fishing with a capital F. There's hardly a day that goes by that I can't be found on Nags Head Pier or casting from the beach. The Outer Banks is a surf fishing Mecca and I spend countless hours and days pursuing it's bounty.
